Daily Musings #8 - September

September is upon us. I am grateful to have been raised in the Midwest for many reasons, but the fall up there is truly beautiful. In Texas I kind of have to laugh as I watch the fall decorations go up amidst 90 degree weather forecasts. That said, come November, a handful of trees along the river will turn gold and red, and my soul will be instantaneously teleported to that deeply honest corner of the subconscious that resides in all Midwestern descendants.
