Daily Musings #5 - Princess

There's a princess in my bed this morning. A twenty five pound joy vessel of a two year old. Her love heavy on my shoulder like a weighted electric blanket, warm and sedative, as she rests her royal body in preparation to rule the breakfast table. I make a deep and concerted effort to savor these moments, as thus far every cliche you hear about parenting and time moving too quickly has proven true.
